I met Maggie properly for the first time today.  This sassy, petite Chilean is every bit as feisty as her three Jack Russell dogs.

Attractive, charming with a real zest for life, always ready to throw a party and the last one standing when everyone else has left to go home.

Today she was little quiet, only because she had been out late the night before and had enjoyed the wine, me too, I know how she feels.

Name: Maggie

Occupation: House Wife, Tennis Player, Dancer & Runs a Skincare Business

1.Where were you born and raised?

Santiago, Chilly.  Moved to Venezuela then to the USA at 19 years old.

‘I grew up with my Grandparents, I was like the only child in that family because my Mother had me when she was very young, she was only fifteen years old.  She couldn’t take care of me so I grew up with my Grandparents.  When I was fifteen I lived with my Mother, only for three years.  Then I came to America to study English and I decided to stay.’

2.Tell me a childhood memory.

‘Playing with my Grandfather after school, we used to play Hopscotch.  He would feel the shoe polish tin with mud to make it heavy and we would use that to play. Every day after school.’

3.What is your favourite season and why?

‘I like the Spring because of the flowers, the food is so fresh and it is my favourite season because I don’t like heavy clothes.’

4.Tell me about someone you love.

‘My husband and my kids. My husband is my best friend, great father to my children.  When I met Allen my children were only small and I had just got divorced so he has been a Father to them and a companion.  He is amazing.  85 years old with two Cancers, he never complains, is never mad or upset.  He always says I’m with Maggie!  I’m like the Butterfly everywhere.  I met him in Utah, he was the big boss of the company, he had been single for 15 years and we went out.  So he invite me out, we went out for almost a year and he was about to retire, I had a job and my three little kids, he said would you like to come and live with me and my Father in South Carolina.  I said if I was by myself, yes but I have the kids and I don’t want to be hanging like the pot in the kitchen, so every year he gives me a pot!  His Father was 96 years old and lived with us for 5 years, he was our Best Man.’

‘It has been a great journey and I have seen a lot of places, he has shown me the world.  He didn’t want me to work he said he wanted me to live the ‘Cultured wife’ life.’

5.What words of wisdom do you have for the reader about life?

‘When I turned fifty years old I started looking at life differently, Life is too short and every day we wake up life is a gift that God gives us, just enjoy life, spend time with the family. Family is special.’

6.Dreams for the future.

‘Looking forward to being a Grandmother and spoiling my kids before I get too old, keep healthy, work hard and be happy. We have a lot of acquaintances and only a few are friends, I want to not waste any more time and spend time with the friends.  If I find myself on my own I want to travel the world, go dancing around the world.’

Maggie is bubbly, fun & beautiful. I am sure she has bought a lot of joy to Allans world.  Vibrant and forever young is how she appears to me.  Today I met her in her tennis gear but this glamourous lady is equally comfortable, if not more so, in her dancing shoes, silks and diamonds being sashayed around the dance floor.

The talk of the town is Maggie, as she should be, someone worth talking about.
